NigeriaSat-1:

Launched in 2003, it was Nigeria's first satellite and was built by a UK-based satellite technology company. It was part of the worldwide Disaster Monitoring Constellation System.

NigeriaSat-2 and NigeriaSat-X:

Launched in 2011, these are Nigeria's third and fourth satellites. They were built as high-resolution earth satellites by SSTL for the DMC system.

NigComSat-1:

Launched in 2007, it was Nigeria's second satellite and Africa's first communication satellite. It failed in orbit in 2008 after running out of power due to an anomaly in its solar array. A replacement satellite, NigComSat-1R, was launched in 2011.
