What is the Tvet initiative program
The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Initiative is a flagship program of the Federal Ministry of Education designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
Through partnerships with certified training centers across the country, the initiative offers tuition-free training, monthly stipends, and start-up support for selected trades in high-demand sectors.

What to know before applying for the Tvet program
Before registering for the program make sure you have the following information in place and follow this process to get registered.
1. Provide your phone number
2. Provide your national identification number(NIN)
3. Provide your valid email address
4. Provide your bank verification number
5. Provide your account details
6. You will be required to choose the program you will be trained on it may digital skills, electronics engineering, carpenter, plumber, etc.
Note that to avoid not being registered make sure the name on your national identification card matches that of your bank verification number if not your application will not be granted, reasons because of transparency and accountability in the tvet program in 2025.
What to know after applying for the Tvet program
After a successful registration he will undergo a screening process were if selected and merge with a cluster who will then trained you on the specific area of interest. You will be ask to provide the following document.
1. A valid national identification card
2. Nysc certificate for graduate member
3. O level certificate for non graduate or tradetest
4. Certificate of origin of local government authority
Benefits you will get from Tvet program
After you are successful enrolled into the Tvet program there are benefits that will be given to you which include:
1. Free tuition fee for the program for about 6 to one year depending on the vocational selection
2. You be given food while you attend the training
3. A monthly stipend will be sent to your bank account depending on the duration of your selected program lowest six months highest 1 year.
4. After graduation a startup pack will be given to you to establish your business and also be able to employ others.
5. You will have access to soft loans to help you grow your business after the technical and vocational program.
